Re Important Information about a ‘Year 10 Formal’

Dear Parent/Caregiver of Yr 10 Students

It has come to my attention that some students in Year 10 have planned a formal function to celebrate the completion of Year 10.

It is important that you understand that it is the policy of the school NOT to sanction a formal for Year 10 students. We do not consider that the end of Year 10 marks the end of school for the majority of students. Staff do not attend such a function and the school accepts no responsibility in this matter. Under no circumstances is a venue for a 'Year 10 formal' to be booked in the name of the school.

The school does however, help Year 12 students organise a formal to be held at the end of Year 12. The school holds money in trust for that event and many of the staff attend and celebrate with the students on that occasion.

Please be warned that if you or your child pays money to another student for a ticket to a Year 10 formal, you do so AT YOUR OWN RISK.
