In Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA), students explore a variety of art forms through the study of Dance, Drama, Music, Visual Arts and Photography.
Studying the creative arts, students learn to create, appreciate, compose, listen, perform and critique. Each art form has its own unique knowledge and skills, elements or concepts as well as a capacity to inspire and enrich lives.
In Year 7 and 8 Visual Arts and Music are mandatory. Drama and Dance are also studied also in Year 8.
They also have an opportunity to further develop their knowledge and skills in other art forms through elective subjects in Stage 5.
In Year 9 and 10, students can choose from a range of CAPA courses. These include:
· Dance
· Drama
· Music
· Photography
· Visual Arts
Students can then select from a range of courses in Years 11 to 12.
In Year 11 and 12, students can choose from a range of CAPA courses. These include:
- Dance
- Drama
- Music
- Photography, Video and Digital Imagery
- Visual Arts
